Plastering in Luxembourg

The interior finishes that make the difference.

Plastering is the stage where your building goes from raw structure to liveable interior: smooth walls, clean ceilings, partitions straight to the millimetre. It’s also a trade where the work shows immediately — a poorly prepared wall gives itself away under the first ray of sunlight.

Real Constructions handles all plasterwork on new builds and renovations in Luxembourg: traditional plaster on bricks or blockwork, plasterboard partitions, suspended ceilings.

Our plastering services

  • Traditional plaster — on masonry substrates (bricks, blockwork, concrete). Application in several coats with smooth or decorative finish.
  • Plasterboard partitions — on metal frames. Ideal for room layout, insulating linings, integrating sound or thermal insulation.
  • Suspended ceilings — to hide service runs, lower a too-high ceiling, integrate downlights or insulation.

Our method

  1. Substrate preparation — cleaning, weak-spot treatment, primer if needed
  2. Setting out partitions — laser, marking out floor and ceiling
  3. Installation — plastering or assembly of frames and boards
  4. Taping and filling — for invisible joints
  5. Finish — final smoothing, ready to paint

What sets us apart

A specialised plastering team

Plastering is a trade of precision and feel. A partition that sounds hollow, a wall that ripples under paint, a ceiling that cracks six months after delivery — those are the marks of a job done badly. Our plasterers do this work all day, every day, for years.

Smooth coordination with other trades

On our sites, the plasterer works in close coordination with the electrician, plumber, and tiler. Every chase is properly filled, every reservation respected.

Choice of finishes

Classic smooth, careful smooth ready-to-paint, or special finish (limewash, internal taloché, stucco). Depending on your project and budget.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does plastering an individual house cost?

Several factors come into play in plastering: chosen technique (traditional plaster vs plasterboard), surface, ceiling heights, desired finishes. Detailed quote after studying the plans.

How long after plastering before you can paint?

For traditional plaster, expect 3 to 6 weeks of drying before painting, depending on weather and ventilation. Plasterboard accepts paint much faster (a few days).

Plasterboard or masonry partitions, which to choose?

Plasterboard installs fast, is light, modular — ideal for most interior partitions. Masonry partitions are heavier, more robust, better at sound insulation — useful between bedrooms or to hang heavy loads.

Do you also do the painting after plastering?

We coordinate painters as part of a turnkey house formula. On stand-alone sites, we can recommend trusted painter partners.
