Real Constructions takes on renovations of existing buildings in Luxembourg when the project warrants it: village houses or farmhouses to restore, 60s–80s buildings to modernise, listed heritage buildings to restore with respect for the past, commercial premises to refresh.
Our core business remains new construction (see Turnkey Houses) — that’s where we add the most value because we master the project from A to Z. For renovations, we step in mainly on sites where our structural know-how and family-business approach make a real difference.
A renovation is always more complex than a new build: surprises behind the plaster, structural constraints, neighbours, code compliance. Our job is to anticipate these uncertainties and to give you a credible quote and schedule. None of that “we’ll see when we get on site” — we study your project thoroughly before quoting.
For very heavy renovations, sometimes ask yourself whether rebuilding from new wouldn’t be simpler, faster, and better-performing in the long run. We have that honest discussion with you.
It depends on the building’s condition, your budget, sentimental and heritage value, and your energy goals. We give you an honest opinion after a site visit — including if the answer is “building new would make more sense”.
6 to 18 months depending on scope. A full renovation of a village house can easily take a year, especially if you want a finish quality equivalent to new.
